Pump Reservoirs Available Now!

Since the store went live in April, it has always been our intent to expand beyond standalone reservoirs and offer pump support. For six months now our only offerings have been our standalone 120, 140, 240, and 280mm reservoirs, but that changes today. We are pleased to announce the release of the 120, 140, 240, and 280mm pump reservoirs with support for either DDC or D5 pumps.

There were some unique challenges we faced in developing these particular products. It would have been easier to simply decide between supporting either D5 or DDC pump types, however we wanted to extend that choice to the customer. In doing so, additional time was spent designing and later testing the compatibility of both pumps on the same product. To do so, a custom o-ring was necessary for the D5 pump compatibility, and the screw holes needed to be in the same positions as the DDC screw holes. As a result, the pump reservoirs have compatibility with any pump or bracket with holes spaced in a 50mm x 50mm square. This has allowed for compatibility with any number of DDC pumps or aftermarket D5 pump covers.

As with all of our reservoirs, the option to include an engraving remains available. It is for this reason that the design of the products remains simple. Where we might have introduced complex channels and o-ring designs, we instead opted to maximize the engravable area of the reservoirs. We hope you enjoy the Scylla D5/DDC pump reservoir lineup!
